Stella Skaljac, Esq., SHRM-SCP brings over 15 years of human resource management and employment law experience to her most recent role as an HR Consultant and the Owner of ImagineHR, LLC. After graduating from Miami University of Ohio with dual majors in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior, Stella attended Case Western Reserve Law School earning her Juris Doctorate with a focus on labor and employment law. She worked as an attorney for Cleveland/Akron-based law firms specializing in management-side employment law. During this time, Stella’s focus was on defending employment actions, counseling management on workplace policy and best practices, training on litigation prevention strategies and assisting businesses in maintaining a proactive approach to employee relations. Over the past several years, Stella has shifted her focus from litigating to consulting. Rather than handling legal claims after an employment matter has escalated, she now spends her time advising clients on preventative strategies. As an HR consultant with an expertise in employment law, Stella believes she is well-positioned to provide guidance and recommendations to employers on a wide range of workplace issues.
Stella has gained experience in a variety of industries and now leverages these experiences to bring value and fresh perspective to her clients. She has developed expertise in the areas of HR audit and compliance, employee handbooks, workforce planning and development, employee relations and mediations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, recruitment and hiring strategies, workplace investigations and employee engagement. She also trains on diversity, harassment and leadership/communication best practices. Stella founded ImagineHR on her passion for helping organizations create positive and productive workplaces. She designs, develops and implements workplace policies and programs to ensure business goals are met and everyone within the organization prospers. She provides tailored HR solutions and builds effective HR frameworks through careful evaluation of an organization’s current state of compliance, systems, policies and people practices – always seeking ways to improve and enhance the work environment and culture.
